We've reduced the scope of our service for 2020 - please click anywhere on this page for details of the hires and trips that we are operating.
For 2020 we will be operating a very limited number of craft and trip options and are taking both full & provisional bookings for activity dates from Saturday 16 May, these new bookings are subject to enhanced cancellation terms as described in point 5 below.
Details of our amended 2020 Trips can be seen here.
Covid-19 / Coronavirus Protocols:
We've invested heavily to ensure continuity of this service and ask that customers pay particular attention to paddling responsibly and respecting 'social distancing' guidelines both on and off the water.
The following outlines how we're changing our operating protocols and processes in response to the current Covid-19 outbreak and current Government Guidelines:
1) 'Household' Online Pre-bookings Only, please see link above.
2) Personal Space / Social Distancing:
2.1 Staggered start times: To help ensure personal space for guests at our centre(s) we have staggered session start / end times and limited the number of household bookings per 'start time' to two, each of which is limited to a max of two canoes per booking - limiting the number of guests onsite to between 8 and 16 at any one time (depending on whether 'household bookings' are couple or families).
2.2 Centre Zoning: We've 'zoned' our spaces to help guests maintain two meter distances between households. When you arrive, you'll notice white lines and/or signage showing the distance between groups. Please respect each others personal space while we get you 'signed in' and off on your adventure.
2.3 Flow Control: At the end of your adventure we may ask you to 'wait' before coming into the 'workspaces' in order to maintain social distancing and avoid inter-group crossover in confined areas such as on the pontoon space.
3) Cleaning & Hygiene:
3.1 Kit Cleaning: We're fortunate to have a good supply of disinfectant and will be cleaning all 'High Frequency Touch Points' on hire equipment (paddle handles/shafts, canoe handles/gunwales, bicycle handles, pedal kart steering wheels.....) between uses.
3.2 Handwashing facilities are available are available for customer use - please use them!
3.3 E-Waivers: We've upgraded our booking & asset management software to enable online signing of your waivers / disclaimers from home in order to minimise the need to use our ipads.
4) Amended Opening Times: Stour Valley Adventure Centre: Will be open Thursdays to Sundays for pre-booked sessions as per the above booking links.
5) Amended Cancellation & Refund Policies (for bookings made on or AFTER March 26th 2020):
5.1 If we cancel the booking or the activity cannot take place on the booked date due to Government Enforced 'lock down' (either an extension of the current restrictions or imposition of new ones) the booking will be refunded in-full within 48 hours of the booked activity date.
5.2 If you cancel your booking, the following notice periods and refund amounts are applicable:
5.2.1 more than 7 days before the booked activity date we will refund 100% of the payment made.
5.2.2 more than 2 days and up to 7 days before the booked activity date, we will issue a Voucher equal to 100% of the booking amount and valid for 2 years from the booking date.
5.2.3 Two (2) days or less and no refund or voucher will apply unless we are able to re-sell the activity in which case a Voucher for the value at which it is resold will be issued.
We hope the above amendments are fair and reasonable in the circumstance, you are of course welcome to contact us directly if you have any queries or questions by emailing reservations@outdoorhirecentre.co.uk
