The Stour Valley Path passes through some of the most attractive countryside in East Anglia, including the Dedham Vale and Constable Country, and offers a gentle multi-day walking break within an hour of London.
The route follows the river and its valley downstream from it's start at Newmarket for 96km / 60 miles through quintessentially English villages, across undulating farmland and through variously protected Sites of Special Special Scitentific Interest and of course, through the Dedham Vale (one of only 4 Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty in the UK) ending after Constables iconic Flatford near Manningtree Station.
Stour Valley Adventure Centre operate supported 2 and 4 night self-guided and 4 night guided walking trips on the Stour Valley Path for individuals and groups, each with the option of bolt-on NNAS Bronze Navigation Award and beginner Wild Camping courses.
Customised half and full day guided private groups walks starting at your accommodation are also available by arrangement.
